Taylor Schmidt grew up in the flooring business and started installing, sanding, hand-scraping, and finishing hardwood floors in 2009. He entered into a management role in 2018 managing the Residential Division and then in 2023, he moved into the General manager position at Schmidt Custom Floors. Taylor helps to manage the process and operations in the Smartplank division as well. When Taylor is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing a variety of different sports and outdoor activities.

For over 30 years, Tim Flagstad has been a noteworthy leader in the flooring industry. You may know him as the CEO of his former organization named ‘Flagstad & Associates.’ Tim can also be credited with contributions to Jaeckle Distributors as a Sales Manager. He attended Evangel University. He will blissfully lead SmartPlank into success. When Tim is not busy running SmartPlank you can find him on the golf course.

Logan Schmidt | Marketing Director - Outside Sales

Logan Schmidt grew up in the flooring business and started installing, sanding, handscraping and finishing hardwood floors in 2010. In 2018 Logan played a key role in launching Smart Plank and today his main role is marketing and outside sales. He is passionate about creating inspiring spaces with real materials. When Logan is not working, he enjoys time with his family or exploring the mountains in northern Arizona by bike or machine.

Trent Mayer worked in construction for 10 years in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Moved to Wisconsin where he started Installing, sanding, and finishing hard wood floors for 3 years. In 2022 he started working for Smart Plank, initially in the warehouse and making custom samples. Now Trent is in the office with inside sales and operations with the sales team. When Trent is not working, he enjoys being with his family or traveling across the country exploring.
